2025 Ministry Award

It is with great honor that Saint George Greek Orthodox Church in Centerville, MA has chosen Stavros and Argiro Pavlakis to receive the 2025 Clergy Laity Award.

They were both born and raised in Hania, Crete. They both moved to Canada where they met and got married in 1959. They resided in Canada until 1977 and then moved to Pennsylvania and eventually moved to Cape Cod in 1983. They opened up their own business called Brothers Pizza in Dennis Port.

They are happily retired now and enjoy sharing their time at the church helping in any way they can. They are very involved with the annual Greek festival and other functions that need help. You can find Stavros in the kitchen cooking gyros, moussaka or pastitsio. Argiro helps with desserts and kitchen help. They are both a huge asset to the church. Stavros and Argiro would like to thank Father Timothy, the president, and the entire parish of Saint George and for their love, support, and spiritual guidance. They are deeply touched and honored to be the recipients of this award
